Congratulations to Brad Harper who was named Regional Coach of the Year by the Indiana High School Wrestling Coaches Association (IHSWCA). Harper took the Penn wrestlers to a No. 13 ranking in the final statewide coaches poll.
Congratulations to Kristi Kaniewski who was named NIC Coach of the Year. The Lady Kingsmen won the NIC league title with an 8-0 record.
Buy a piece of Freed Field
The sod of historic Freed Field is available in commemorative one-foot squares, five-by-five-yard squares, or as customized plots from any part of the field. In April 2010, installation of synthetic turf will begin on Penn’s Freed Field so this is a “once-in-a-lifetime” chance to own a piece of Penn’s history and tradition.
Penn athletes participate in national signing day
Eleven talented Penn High School student athletes participated in national signing day events at Penn High School on Wednesday, February 3, 2010. Families, coaches, and students celebrated the culmination of years of hard work and a bright future at the college level. Here is a list of the Penn students, the colleges and/or universities they will be attending and their sport:
